National Karting Champion Elliot Cox Signs with Syntech Racing

“We are pleased to announce that karting standout Elliot Cox will be joining the Syntech Racing Team as a Junior Driver. Elliot is an amazing 12-year-old young man that started the #drivingfordyslexia organization that brings awareness to this learning disability. This mission of his and his determination to be the best made our decision and easy one,” according to Blake Deister.

Blake goes on to say, “Elliot is a well-respected karter here at our local tracks, mom Amanda and father Travis are fully supportive of our plan to work with him as he matures into the junior class structures. Elliot will represent both our OTK and Top Kart lines as he works to add more titles to his resume.”

As a development driver for the Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing (SFHRD) new F4 program, Elliot will have his plate full this season. “Keeping Elliot on top of his game requires him to do as much karting as possible, and we believe this partnership with the McLaughlin Family will do just that. Our families go back a while, they have been great supporters of our endauver at Whiteland Raceway Park and Sarah and I are excited to see Elliots progress under the Syntech Racing Banner ” said Andy O’Gara.

Bill McLaughlin, Jr. Syntech’s technical director explains the team’s decision “When we look for new talent for the team, Elliot checked all of the boxes for us. The majority of his championships have come from a small family-based team, and that speaks volumes to us. We fell we have the tools to further that talent, and, as a 12-year-old in the most talented junior class we have seen in a while, I have no doubt that Elliot will be on the podium a lot this season. He listens to instruction, gives great feedback, has amazing racecraft, and finds a way to make any equipment work for him. This was such an easy choice for the team.”
