April 10, 2019 – Southern California based karting team Phil Giebler Racing adds yet another stout driver to their roster for the remainder of the 2019 events. Nick Ramirez, a prominent senior driver also based in southern California is ready to assist the team in earning more podium finishes throughout the SKUSA Pro Tour and SKUSA Pro Kart championship series.
To date, Nick Ramirez has had a successful karting career with a 2013 IKF National Championship and Screaming Eagle Winner, several National event podium finishes, a 2018 SKUSA Super Nationals podium in KA100, and so far in 2019 with a Pole for KA100 and off-pole in X30 at the last SKUSA Pro Tour event.
Team Principal, Phil Giebler states, “We are excited to have Nick on board and eager to show what we can do together. He has shown a lot of potential and has had already proven that he can get great results. Its a pleasure to integrate a hard working and humble duo with Nick, and his father Al Ramirez. They provide such a positive atmosphere for the team. Already with only spending one weekend working with them I think he should be a championship contender for the SKUSA Pro Kart Championship and for the ProTour. They are helpful with the other drivers under the tent and strive to raise everyone’s level under the PGR banner. Without any practice he was able to show that the Ricciardo Kart is capable of fighting for wins right out of the gate. We will only get stronger as the season progresses.”
The team is still looking for some support for Nick to run two classes at each event X30 Senior and KA100 Senior.
Father and mechanic, Al Ramirez explains, “Nick and I only having worked with Phil Giebler and his team for 1 race thus far we both believe that Phil’s expertise and experience will help bring Nick to the next level.”

He is also doing personal coaching in the Pirelli World Challenge and has coached in SCCA, NASA, IMSA, Indy Lights, and IndyCar drivers.
