Doran Motorsports Group (DMG), Southern California based Formula 4 racing team and driver development program is continuing to add new drivers to their lineup in 2019 in preparations for the 2020 season. With the success they have had thus far throughout the 2019 schedule they have proven their program is a top contender while having the engineering staff, management, and drivers combined. With Marco Kacic and Alan Tang scheduled to move up to F3 in 2020 the team is looking to secure 2 F4 drivers ready to take over the 94 and 95 car for 2020.

Eighteen-year-old Vignesh Kadarabad from hometown Mumbai, India is the newest driver to the DMG lineup. Kadarabad has previous experience in Formula Renault and is excited to get back behind the wheel in the #95 DMG prepared Formula 4 machine. In 2019 Kadarabad will be focusing his efforts on testing with the team as they have planned for a 3 meeting 6-day test schedule. These tests will take place in Buttonwillow, CA between July and October. The purpose of this series of tests is to bring Vignesh up to speed so that he is ready to compete for the win during the 2020 Formula Pro USA F4 Championship.

Vignesh goes on to say, “I’m very excited to be making my F4 debut with DMG. I’ve completed one test day with the DMG group last March and I was so impressed by the professionalism of the team, the engineer and the coach. I truly feel this is a team where I can grow as a driver and learn a ton.”

Kadarabad will be utilizing the same car for his testing that is currently leading the Formula Pro USA F4 Championship series. Vignesh will be working with Adam Gezci and Sergio Gonzalez as his mechanics while Nikita Lastochkin and Alex Barron as his driver coaches and Brandon Reed as his car engineer.

Francois Doran, DMG Team Principal states, “With Vignesh now officially signed with our team, we are excited to not only develop his driving through testing this season but also completely develop his driver marketability as well. Our mission at Doran Motorsports Group is more than just developing a fast driver, we focus on a driver as a whole and with Vignesh we will be building his branding and marketing strategies to make him an attractive option for future sponsors who would like to build, promote, and grow their product around a driver like Vignesh. We are currently developing his brand as a driver so that fans and sponsors will be able to relate and recognize Vignesh as a growing and professional athlete. The team looks forward to seeing the young star on the next test day outfitted in his new official Alpinestars / DMG team suit with his logo embedded as well.”

There are no races currently scheduled in the 2019 season for Kadarabad as the team seeks consistent progression with his pace and understanding of the car during his long summer of testing. Already having seen Vignesh’s driving potential from the first test last March the team is in high spirits that the young driver will be taking the green flag early next year for the F4 winter series.

The entire DMG team would like to give a huge thank you to their partners and sponsors in giving them the opportunity to prove results through the weekend. The team would like to give thanks to Electra Meccanica, Lancer Tactical, EAdg, Alpine Stars, Beta Tool, Arai helmets, Guisti Wines, New Balance Vancouver, LHM, and Area 27.
